I consider it a great joy to serve as the co-chair of Leadership Foundations’ Leadership Council, and am grateful to serve alongside my fellow co-chair and LF board member Nate Skow.
My work – in addition to being my husband Bill’s marriage partner for almost 56 years, creating and maintaining our home, and being the mother of our two children – has been to serve as part time clergy in various Episcopal Churches in Northern Virginia and the National Cathedral in Washington, DC. My particular training in pastoral counseling has brought a focus to my work in the church especially in preparing couples for marriage. I officially retired some years ago, but have continued this work in our local congregation.
Although my husband and I have been involved in supporting the work of Leadership Foundations for a number of years (with Bill serving as a board member and I having led one of the staff retreats some years ago), my knowledge and appreciation has deepened more recently having joined Nate Skow as the co-chair of the Leadership Foundations’ Leadership Council.

I am so excited to see how our number of Leadership Council members has grown in recent months. And the LF global staff have been wonderful in keeping us focused on our mission of loving and healing our world’s cities. It has also been wonderful to communicate with each other and to welcome our new members. We celebrate that we are becoming a growing team supporting the work of the global staff and the remarkable work of the Leadership Foundations network around the world.

We have been limited in our ability to get to know some of you who are new to the Leadership Council due to COVID, but we look forward to that changing in the future. Hopefully you have been able to participate in some of the town hall meetings online and that those experiences have helped you become better acquainted with both the heart of LF as well as some of the local work in communities around the world.
I look forward to being a part of our growing community of LFLC members and to getting to know each of you and the gifts and experience you bring to serve the larger global mission of LF.
